Viele Dinge, die wir für unser tägliches Leben brauchen, funktionieren ohne Kunststoff einfach nicht. Immer dann, wenn es um Leichtigkeit und Lösungskompetenz geht, dann ist in der Regel das Universalgenie Kunststoff die einzige Alternative. Die Fachvertretung der Kunststoffverarbeiter in Oberösterreich hat eine Kampagne entwickelt, die intelligente Produkte aus Kunststoff in den Mittelpunkt stellt und gemeinsam mit diesen Produkten wird Aufmerksamkeit für die spannende Kunststofflehre generiert. Die Kunststofflehre ist eine clevere Lehre mit vielen Perspektiven.

Viele Möglichkeiten

Die Ferien gehen zu Ende, für viele Jugendliche die letzten Ferien, bevor die Lehre beginnt. Wer sich für eine clevere Lehre als Kunststofftechniker oder Kunststoffformgeber entschieden hat oder noch entscheiden will, wird vom Thema Urlaub & Ferien noch in der Lehre begleitet werden. Die heimische Kunststoffbranche ist einerseits sehr stark im Flugzeugbau verankert, andererseits braucht jeder, der Urlaub macht ein wichtiges Utensil aus Kunststoff – den Reisekoffer, welcher dann auch noch mit Zahnbürste, Testkits, Sonnenbrillen, Kontaktlinsen, Flossen und anderem bestückt ist. Und auch sonst erleichtert Kunststoff viele Situationen im Leben.

Stark im Flugzeugbau

In der Flugzeugtechnik ist heute Kunststoff nicht mehr wegzudenken. Die Verwendung von Kunststoffen ist zwar schon länger Praxis im Flugzeugbau, allerdings erhöhte sich der Anteil an Kunststoffen in den letzten Jahren. Durch die Komponente wird das Flugzeug leichter, in weiterer Folge schneller und vermindert auch den Verbrauch des Treibstoffes.

Modelle wie der A350 oder die Boeing 787 bestehen mittlerweile zu einem großen Teil aus einem Materialmix aus Carbonfasern und Kunststoff. Lediglich Teile, die bei Start und Landung großer Last ausgesetzt sind, können noch nicht komplett durch Kunststoff ersetzt werden. Die Hersteller versuchen seit Jahren, die Kosten für den Bau von Flugzeugen zu vermindern und sind daher ständig am Optimieren. Genau dieser Fakt spricht für Kunststoff. Durch Herstellungsverfahren, auch im 3D-Druck, können so seitens der Hersteller Kosten gespart werden und andererseits, wie erwähnt, auch das Gewicht reduziert werden.

Ein weiterer wichtiger Faktor ist die lastentragende Eigenschaft der Bauteile. Spätestens 2018 war dieser Faktor auch erreicht, da begann nämlich Airbus zu diskutieren, den Rumpf ihrer Flugzeuge künftig nur mehr aus Kunststoff herzustellen – komplett ohne Metall. Wenn man allerdings an kleinere Flugzeuge denkt – gibt es bereits Modelle, die zur Gänze aus Kunststoff bestehen. Der Rumpf von kleinen Flugzeugen kann teilweise aus einem Guss gefertigt werden und benötigt lediglich zur Verstärkung Glas- oder Kohlefasern. Dieses Verfahren schafft für das Flugzeug eine komplett glatte Oberfläche und senkt dadurch auch wieder den Spritverbrauch.

Kunststoff ist sozusagen nicht nur die Zukunft, sondern auch schon die Gegenwart im Flugzeugbau.

Was macht man so?

In der Kunststoffformgebung lernen die Lehrlinge in drei Jahren die Herstellung und Endbearbeitung von Kunststoffartikeln. Künftige KunststofftechnikerInnen lernen in vier Jahren die Herstellung von Kunststoffartikeln, Halbfabrikaten und Bauteilen. In beiden Bereichen kommen computergesteuerte Maschinen zum Einsatz. Die Palette der Produkte ist dabei enorm und reicht von Rohren über Verpackungen bis hin zu Maschinenteilen, Computergehäusen, Autoteilen oder ganzen Snowboards.

Rund 60 Gewerbebetriebe bilden in Oberösterreich aus. Alle Infos zum Beruf gibt es auf der kunsstofflehre.at und auch eine praktische Übersicht, wo sich in Oberösterreich Lehrbetriebe befinden. Nicht nur die Fachvertreterin der Branche ist eine Frau, sondern auch immer mehr weibliche Lehrlinge zeigen Interesse. “Wir sind eine attraktive Branche mit tollen Aufstiegsmöglichkeiten und dies gilt es zu zeigen, sowohl den männlichen als auch den weiblichen jungen Menschen”, freut sich Fachvertreterin Erika Lottmann, dass viel in Aufklärungsarbeit rund um den Beruf investiert wird.
